Arden Place News: Fox Fields – Arden Place will have a plot at Fox Fields this year! Spring Fox Fields is an annual horse race that takes place in Albemarle county just off of Garth Road. This year Fox Fields is on April 28th. Check out the flier coming soon about this event for more details!

Club House Events: February’s Golf Tournament has begun! – Join us in the third monthly Arden Cup Golf Tournament! This month’s course is the ever-so-lovely Monterey Beach. This course is designed in the style of California’s Pebble Beach. Check out some of the history of this golf course here. There will be some tricks to this tournament! Sign up at the leasing office to find out…
Insanity – Join some Arden Place health-nuts in this intense work out routine. 6am every morning in the Movie Room. Evening sessions will occasionally be held around 7pm such as February 9th.
Running Club – The Running club is meeting every Sunday at 8:30 am. Join us at the club house. We run at varying speeds and distances making this a great place to meet your next work-out buddy!
Crock Pot Night – Soups up! Join us in the Great Room every Wednesday in the Great room from 5:30-7pm. Next week stew night will be held in Tuesday night February 14th instead.
Game Night! – Another great addition to Arden Place’s community renowned Wednesday evenings. 6:30 pm in the great room. February 14th will be Pictionary, so draw your pens and pencils and lets duel it out to see who has the most efficient yet decipherable drawing skills!
Book Club – The first meeting of the Arden Place Book Club was a blast! Join us again. This time we’ll be discussing Steig Larson’s Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. We’ll meet Thursday March 1st at 7pm in the Great Room.
Book Club – We will be reading The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht.

Running Club – Begins This Sunday January 8th at 8:30 a.m.
· We’ll meet at the club house entrance where we will discuss goals, speeds and distances. We will then break up into groups.
· This is a great way to find a running buddy for days during the week too!
· This club is for all running abilities.
January Golf Tournament - First round begins January 6th and runs until January 18th at 6pm. We’ll be golfing at the beautiful Doral Resort. Email email@example.com or sign up in the Club House to schedule your time in the golf room!
Crock-Pot Night - Mariko Brooks is making stew again and on Wednesday January 11th it is a super secret surprise soup! Come check it out and be prepared to have your taste buds amazed once again.
Arden Place Trivia on Facebook – This is beginning again today, January 6th! Keep an eye out for it.
***Morning Chat – This is a great new event taking place on Tuesday mornings from 10am-11am! Come by and enjoy some coffee, snacks and awesomely interesting conversations with your neighbors.

- Make sure you break down your boxes before you put them in the dumpster.
- Always put your trash in the dumpsters not in the hallways or on your patios please!
- If the dumpster happens to be full, give us a call and we will help you find somewhere to throw it away.Wednesday night dinner is moved to a later time
- The Food and clothing drive is still going on! It will continue until December 15th.
Calendar of events Nov28-Dec12
Monday 11/28 – Sign-ups for Arden Place’s first ever golf tournament begin this day and continue until Wednesday December 7th. There are three rounds.
Round 1: Singles. The office will contact you to set up a time for you and the golf
simulator to unite and play 18 holes in the Rocky Mountains.
Round 2: The top 4 singles players will face-off in pairs at a secret golf course.
Round 3: The top two players will go all out in a skins game on a super secret golf course…
Tuesday 11/29 – Arden Place knowledge Facebook contest begins and runs until December 20th! Each day we will post a question about the Arden Place community. You can use any method possible to find the information (from Google search to simply asking a leasing consultant). Post your answer beneath the question on the Facebook page. The person with the most correct answers wins! Go to facebook.com/ardenplace for more information! The winner receives a gift card to a local Charlottesville restaurant! (There are possibilities for more points on Twitter and around the club house…keep a look out)
Wednesday 11/30 – 5:30pm-7pm, Resident Mariko Brooks (the wife of Community Manager Will Brooks), is making the long awaited split-pea soup in the Great Room. You’re busy, so let someone else make dinner for you. Spend some time with other residents and get your grub on!
Thursday 12/8 – 5:30-7pm, Mariko is making pasta and meatballs! Yum yum yum! Stop by after work to eat.
Thursday 12/8 – The Golf Tournament begins! Round 1 begins and goes until 12/14
Wednesday 12/14 – 5:30-8pm, Holiday Party! Hors d’oeuvres, wine and soft-drinks will be available throughout the evening. Let us know if you are interested in also providing a pot-luck dish!
This is also a great time to donate food, clothes or toys!
Thursday 12/15 – The first day of Round 2 in the golf tournament! Contestants have until 12/17 to compete.
Friday 12/18 – The final round of the golf tournament takes place. (Time TBA)

- Our second building is opening up November 23rd! This means more new residents! Yea!
- Don’t forget to make use of the club house if you’re not already. We’re here if you want to reserve the great room, the theater or any other space.
Tuesday 11/17 – 8:30am until mid-December we are going to start a clothing and food drive in the club house. There will be two big boxes in the foyer of the club house. One for dry and canned goods and the other for jackets, sweaters and other cold weather clothing. The first round of food will go out to the food pantry next Tuesday the 22nd in time for Thanks giving and another round will go out later in December. The winter clothing will head to the coat closet and the Salvation Army later in December as well.
Wednesday 11/16 – Beginning at 8:30 am there will be Spudnut donuts in the cyber cafe for everyone to enjoy! If you haven’t tried one yet, now is the time. Stop by for coffee and a donut before you head out for the day or to just visit your favorite leasing staff in the club house.
Wednesday 11/16 – 5pm-6:30pm, The Amazing Mariko Brooks, is making a delicious cream of chicken stew in the Great Room. You’re busy, so let someone else make dinner for you. Spend some time with other new residents and get warmed up from this cold fall weather over a fowl but delicious bowl of stew…Saturday 11/19 - 12-5pm, Spirit Girl® jewelery designer, Candida Franklin will be at the club house with contemporary, One of a kind jewelry including necklases, earrings, mythic rocks and hand painted glass! Wednesday 11/23 - There will be no stew night tonight on account of Thanks giving the following day.
In the upcoming weeks – We will begin a running group but we want your feedback first! We’re interested in what days, times and locations work best for you. If you’re interested in getting involved shoot us an email, give us a call or stop by the office to let us know what you’re thinking.
We’re also going to begin organizing recycling groups. We’re not recycling on site right now but several of you have expressed interest. It may be fun to get a group together who can take turns bringing people’s recycling to the recycling center. Let us know if you’re interested in getting involved.

We’re so glad you can now call Arden Place your new home. In the upcoming week we have several welcoming events taking place in the club house!
Saturday 10/15 – Starting at 10am, there will be freshly baked cinnamon buns in the cyber cafe! Stop by the club house and relax with a hot cup of coffee and a fresh warm breakfast with your new neighbors and your favorite leasing staff.
Wednesday 10/19 – Starting at 9am, Fresh doughnuts from Spudnuts, a local Charlottesville gem! Don’t start Hump Day without some breakfast or coffee. We’ll have doughnuts here every other Wednesday.
Wednesday 10/19 – 5pm-6:30pm, Resident Mariko Brooks (the wife of Community Manager Will Brooks), is making a delicious beef stew in the Great Room. You’re busy, so let someone else make dinner for you. Spend some time with other new residents over a tasty home-cooked meal that will warm you up during this chilly fall weather!
